batch processing of E claims

Post by sandds » Wed Jul 01, 2009 9:55 pm

I am a new Open Dental user so this question may come from ignorance. We came over from Dentrix (thank goodness) and with their system all procedures set complete that were connected to insurance would go to batch and all could be sent with one click. Is there a way to do this in Open Dental? It seems now we have to send each claim individually. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Scott

You click on the first one and drag it all the way down the last one with mouse button still pressed down to select all the claim you want to file. Then just one click will file all the eclaims. Is this what you want?

It sounds like you are not using this window:
http://www.open-dent.com/manual/claimsend.html

Maybe you are instead clicking the send button at the bottom of the Claim window? Ignore that button. Use the OK button instead. Then send a batch at the end of the day.

Request #330 is totally different. That would be for totally automated generation of claims. I consider this to be a bit dangerous since there's no human interaction, but based on the request votes, others seem to be OK with the risk of not human interaction.
