Aging vs. Insurance Claims pending

Post by hjoesaar » Tue Jun 23, 2009 11:09 pm

Can someone help me here? When I run the aging report it says that the total is $52K, with Patient's owing $21K and Insurance owing us $31K. When I run Insurance Claims pending (Odays) it gives us a total of $46K of outstanding insurance. Yes, we do take PPOs and there will be a 20% adjustment from the UCR fees but those totals aren't even close? What am I missing? The reason I looking at this is because I feel like we're not getting the deposits from insurance that we're expecting.

I would suggest going through about 5 to 10 patients from the outstanding insurance report and comparing that with what the aging report shows. You should be able to see pretty quickly where the difference is.
