Original Entry Name/Data Date

Post by savvy » Fri Apr 10, 2009 10:53 am

I'm going through my Recall List.
There are names without Due Dates.
How can I determine when the data was originally entered?
If there is no appointment or note associated with the patient/name there is no way to tell if the data was entered this morning or 5 years ago.
And, NO, searching the Audit Log may work, but that I do not think that is an acceptable option.

Well if you are using version 6.4 or higher now all of your patients end up in your recall list even if they have never had a cleaning to trigger a recall. It is suppose to help you keep track of patients that just came in for treatement originally.

I realize that.

My question relates to the date the initial data was entered.

A name assotiated with no due date that was entered 5 years ago can be deleted or made inactive.
A name entered 4 weeks ago, I may not want to make inactive yet.

Having a field that shows the data entered date solves the issue.

"Data entered"? Do you mean their Date of First Visit?

middle left.
I believe if they have not yet come in yet that this field would be the future date of their first appointment. I'm not quite sure what that field would show if no appointment at all. I would have to research that.

But I think that's what you are asking for, right?

Though I'm not 100% certain, it appears all the names that were brought over during the conversion process from Intellident had no date. It seems all data manually inputted after coversion has a date. Didn't know that there was a date field. Pehaps it it would be more convenient be visible in the first patient info screen....not the secondary screen.

OK. I just added a feature request for "date first visit show in Family module". I set it to difficulty 1.
