Reminder to file insurance

Post by cneelley » Thu Aug 16, 2007 12:18 pm

Is there a way for the front desk person to be automatically reminded to file an insurance claim the 1st day of every month, such as some sort of pop-up reminder?

We have an ortho patient who has an insurance plan that requires that we file a separate claim for payment each month for 12 months. Any thoughts on what is the best way to be reminded to to this.

Some pop ups would be nice. For example to attach to a patient who possibly owes money, other account issue, or even personal issues. That way when the person calls to schedule an appointment for something, the pop up will make the front desk person read it before she makes the appointment.

For your specific case... I know its not easy, but you could simply add a note under the patient or a dummy patient if you have that created. You would be able to change the color of the note but would have to add it every month until you expect things to be paid off.

We have some task that need to be done monthy and we just put them all on one note at the first of the month. It acts as a good reminder and only takes a few minutes to create 12 months worth of entries.

If there is a better way, I too would like to find out.
