Printing Sheets in Landscape mode

Post by drtmz » Thu Dec 04, 2008 1:43 am

Is there any way to get the sheets function to print in landscape mode?
We are trying to convert a lab Rx by scanning it into OD and using the data fields to input the patient information and the other features for the check boxes.
The form is large such as Glidewell's and we need to turn it to landscape mode for printing.
We are able to customize the Rx to fit our needs but we have to compress things into portrait mode. This makes it a little small for clarity.
Are we missing something here? Or is this just intended for letters and medical Rxs?

There is a landscape checkbox inside the sheet setup window. I think Rx's are landscape by default. If not, check that box.

What version are you using? That might be broken in an older beta version.

I just tested it with version 6.1.12 and it works flawlessly. Are you using a local printer or a network printer? Although it shouldn't matter.

Oh, wait. I just read your message a little closer. LAB Rx? I tested it with a drug prescription, not a lab form. So what sheet type are you using? Patient Label? It's not really designed for that, you know. I don't have time to test that. It might have something to do with the fact that label printers expect it in landscape mode. Maybe go vote for the lab slip feature. Or use a Word merge letter. That would work pretty good.

Not sure which form we were using but maybe we can redo it in Rx format. But that might be restricted to a certain size.
The whole idea here is for us make OD more useful by scanning in a lab Rx, any lab, and then using sheets to make it more personal, accept computer input, print it out for the lab and have a copy in the patient's record.
I am very anal about handwriting of any type on lab communications.
