NPI Question

Hi,

On 2006 A.D.A. Claim Form, there are 2 NPI numbers, line item 49 and line item 54. When I preview on "Edit Claim" window, I see the same NPI number being used in both line items. This is the NPI number that is set in the "Edit Provider" window. I have two NPI numbers, one for line item 49 and one for line item 54. How do I set up both NPI numbers?

You have to setup a dummy provider which represents your practice to be used with all providers and place the second NPI number that is linked to your office location into that provider.

I would have OD log on and walk you through it because there are a few other setup settings in the edit practie info section that go along with this...they had to assist me when I set mine up.

I think that you set the Default Insurance BIlling Dentists to the dummy provider that represents your office NPI.
Then you set the default provider to you or the actual dentist.
