Norton

I read the advice about Avast being the preferred antivirus software to use with OD. I recently updated all my computers with Norton, will this pose any problem?

If you don't have trouble with it, then it will be fine. If you have trouble with it, then you may need to turn it off.

With norton 360, just make sure that you have opened port 3306 for two way communication on both the server and workstations. I find in general that it 'slows' computers down, but that is fairly subjective. Many dentists use norton and OD, I just think the interface for opening ports on the firewall is tedious, and the windows firewall works just fine. ONe of the differences is that norton 360 is much more than an antivirus program, and I find it clunky. Avast is just antivirus, and seems less intrusive.
