I will call you

Post by Rickliftig » Sat Oct 18, 2008 4:56 am

How does your office handle this situation?

Like many offices, we make a six month recall appointment in advance and book it (ie. we don't wait for the patient to call us or rely on a reminder card). There are a few patients who, when asked, will say, "I will call you" (either in a few days when they see their schedule or at six months).

What list do you track these people on? Have you established a separate "I will call you" tickler list?

we call them when the recall comes due on the recall list (usually 6 months later)....and/or reset the date on the recall to when you do want to call them back again (after waiting for them to call you for specified period). I just placed new 'quick buttons' in v6.1 released today to assist in resetting the date for this specific purpose. They are in the recall edit window.
