database corrupted
After I restored my data from back up disk, I am unable to open up OD. The message I got is database is corrupted because of conversion failed. Can someone please show me how to fix this problem so that I can open up OD again? Thanks.

Re: database corrupted
You didn't restore to your main server did you? You are just talking about restoring to a backup computer, right? So just make another fresh backup:
http://www.open-dent.com/manual/backups.html
And restore it using the instructions on that page.
If you really did try to restore to your main server, that was a bad idea. In that case, you will have to restore from a different backup, since the one you describe is corrupted. Don't let any of your current backups get damaged no matter what happens. You might need our help if you are not very familiar with the restore process.

Re: database corrupted
Since your conversion failed, be aware that you probably also have a backup in that same directory(that od created), as when OD finds a database to be of an older version than the executable, the first thing it does is make a copy, so look in your c:\mysql\data (or whatever directory you have set) and you should see the copy that was made right before you opened it. But it is probably missing files or corrupt or the process would not have failed. SO you may still need to go get another copy, if you have one. You may need to call open dental support if this did not help.
