where is the future features request/ voting located at? I have not migrated to the beta version with that built in.

Version 5.9 is not beta. It was released for production almost a month ago.

I am using 5.5.24.0. I am currently licensed through practice-web. They are not releasing 5.9 for another week or so. I was considering loading the current beta on to my laptop to see/ eval changes. Samir at PW advised me not to do this as it might cause a database conflict. Would it be possible to load a beta version with a seperate SQL Database on to my laptop for evaluation purposes, and also run my current functioning version in the same laptop? Currently the database is hosted in the server in my office, so it seems like this would be an ok setup. Please advise.

The feature request system is restricted to our licensed users. Practice-web can set up their own feature request server. I would also not recommend doing anything that might cause a database conflict unless it's on an entirely separate test database. Yes, running it on a separate SQL database would be fine. But it won't let you into our feature request server.
