flat fee vs percentage charge for outstanding balances

I can see where to add a percentage charge for outstanding balances, but how do you set it up to only charge say $5 per month that the balance is outstanding?

Can't do that yet automatically. You could vote for that feature:

I too prefer this. We charge a flat $2 to send the monthly bill. But I don't wish to get into charging a % finance charge, especially if it would be charged on full balances, which would include amounts yet to come from insurance. So we just charge the $2, and only if an amount is aged at least 45 days.

How do I do this? I am using an ancient DOS program, but I will be switching to OD, and would like to continue doing this. I can't vote for this feature because I am still using the trial software version and my trial conversion. But I still need to learn OD, try it out extensively, and find out what I can and cannot do before I become an official user.

But I am looking forward to it, it seems pretty powerful, and a good value.

Well, I guess you wouldn't be able to vote for that feature until you are signed up. Since it is not yet a feature, you should assume that that feature will not be available, and plan accordingly.
