Deposit sums recalculated ? - 5.6.25

Hello Dr. Jordan / Team,

My office is on 5.6.25 and today I ran the database maintenance and the observed the following :

PRINT THIS FOR REFERENCE. Deposit sums recalculated:
05/07/2008 OldSum:$6,887.90, NewSum:$6,527.90
07/25/2008 OldSum:$3,536.50, NewSum:$3,572.50
Deposit sums fixed: 2

what could have caused this discrepancy ?

Whenever we notice a discrepency in any customer's database, we immediately add a fix to the db maintenance tool to force database integrity. We then try to track down the source of the the discrepancy. Sometimes, we are not able to. It's been so many months since I've seen that issue that I can't remember the final outcome. I would start with the two listed deposists. Do the new values match your actual deposit amount, or is it the old values? I would start with those two and continue to run the tool every week to try to catch a discrepancy quickly. My best guess is that we already fixed the bug responsible. But version 5.6.25 is too old. Either update to the most recent version of 5.6, or move to 5.7.

Thanks Dr. Sparks...will keep a lookout on whether I see the same issue in the later version once I upgrade. I prefer to do upgrades once in a quarter..kind of a cycle..maybe will wait for 5.8 production to arrive..before my next upgrade.
