Clearinghouse

Post by mbansal » Mon Aug 11, 2008 7:30 pm

Hello all,
A friend of mine just told me about OfficeAlly.com which is a FREE dental clearinghouse. I am curious to try out the service, but I noted that OpenDental doesn't have this clearinghouse listed under "setup." Does that mean we can't use this clearinghouse? If this is not currently support, can we get it supported soon? Thanks.

They accept print to file and they also accept X12 837. We can generate in both formats easily. I would recommend using the 837.

They are a medical clearinghouse with no direct connections to dental payers as of yet. They have just completed testing with us so all of their dental claims will be coming via ClaimConnect or dropped to paper. Not sure how they plan to offer free claims. I suspect a loss leader to get you in. Like all else, you get what you pay for.
