Any OpenDental users using scanx as opposed to the sensors?
If so whats your opinion?

From what I've heard, the quality is fine. They are more comfortable. But you still have to wait for them to "process", so some of the convenience of digital is lost. Finally, the plates will tend to get scratched over time, so they need to be replaced frequently. But sensors also tend to fail over time, so this is probably a draw when comparing to sensors. Just something to be aware of.

we are using scanx with OD in our office with no issues. image quality is good. we are using the supplied software (visix) with the scanx though.

We also use ScanX with Visix bridged to OD. It works great. Jordan's review was right on, if your staff are careful with the plates they can last a long time.

1 Endo has 2nd thought about ScanX.
1 GP has 2nd thought about sensor.

OD runs fine along ScanX.
