Now - any ideas on a program that will scan my image directories and create pdf thumbnails?

so dumb question ....does this pdf viewer allow us to directly import pdfs and since pdfs can be multipage docs does this finally give us multipage scan capability?

You have always been able to import a multipage pdf. This just allows faster viewing of that pdf. This has nothing to do with multipage scan capability. One of the big technical questions about multipage scan has always been what file format to use. Tiff supports multipage, but jpg and gif do not easily. Now that the pdf viewer looks like a solved problem, the leading contender for multipage scan might be pdf. I believe our existing scanning tool has the capability of scanning multipage pdf, but it is just something that we won't know for sure until we try.
