It is probably not the software that is the problem. Even if it is the problem, there's no guarantee your new imaging software would support your sensors, not to mention the expense. The clipboard is a temporary holder in memory. Whenever you copy something, the clipboard is occupied. Then when you go to paste whatever you copied, the clipboard empties its contents there for you. It will stay in memory until you copy something else or reboots your computer, so be careful as some...

Re: Progress Notes Grouping
Thanks Dr. Sparks, that did the trick by changing the dates. Much neater now. The only problem is that I won't know when those procs were first diagnosed. I can live with it though. Thanks again!

Progress Notes Grouping
As of right now, the Existing Procs are grouped at the top, but the Completed Procs and Treatment Planned Procs are all mixed up. Is there a way to group the Progress Notes to separate Completed Procedures from Treatment Planned Procedures? (ie. Existing in Green at the top, Completed in black in th...

Re: Patient Registration Forms
Another delivery method would be using an upload CGI script to allow the patient to select the finished PDF, then upload to a folder in your website, or having that CGI script send the file to your email. That way the patient doesn't have to fire up their email client.

Re: screen size limits
I was at the XDR booth this past weekend at the CDA convention. The rep there insisted on certain monitor make/model due to the contrast/lumens required to display digital X-rays in all its glory. Moving items up/down in treatment plan
In the treatment plan module version 5.6.7: For insurance estimate/patient copay to show up correctly, RCT should show up first, then Build Up, then Crown (annual max is reached at that point). However 5.6.7 shows Crown first, then BU then RCT. Annual max is reached at RCT, which shouldn't be the ca...

Auto Notes versus Default Notes
I'm about to setup either the Auto Notes feature or write in Default Notes in each of the procedure codes (Lists|Procedure Codes|Edit Code|Default Note). It seems to me that both methods are basically the same except the Auto Notes feature is a bit more interactive. However, it would require more mo...

Multitouch Capability in OD
Imagine turning your existing monitor into a touch-capable surface for things like writing treatment notes (if you're into that sort of thing), signatures, moving teeth around for patient education, etc. Watch the short video http://www.gearlog.com/2007/12/incredible_wiimote_hack_create.php Oh the p...

Patient Image Acquisition
What do you do to get patient pictures? I've been using a webcam, snap a pic using its program and then drag it to the patient's folder. What about an intra-oral camera? Is there a way to have image acquisition within OD itself or another faster setup? Thanks
