It is shown in the lower right of the treatment plan mdule.

If you setup the patient's insurance profile including their annual maximum it will also show how much is remaining for the calendar year.

It is not a big deal, once you know how to do it...it is more direct and easier.

Rather than adding another new button, I would prefer to be able to do the same thing (edit) from the chart module where referred from is also listed.

Check the completed procedures and see if the hygienist is set as the provider. Chances are the 'dentist' is defaulting as the provider when the procedure is set complete for all procedures. Just upgraded to Ver 5.4 and my 3D tooth charts appear "washed out" almost like the brightness is set too high. Is this by design or do I have something set wrong?

trouble shutting down

Open Dental has trouble shutting down on the computers where I have Sig Pads. It deosn't casue any major problem just gives me a shutdown error and asks if I would like to send a report. It is more of a nuisance than anything else.

Has anyone else had this trouble and/or is there a fix?

I think they are talking about a red exclammation point which shows the account has a procedure which has not been billed out to insurance.

My staff got used to that feature very quickly as well.

Infra Red Beam of appointment

One of my patients mentioned today that it would be cool if we could beam his appointment to his palm phone. I agreed that would be a cool idea. Not sure if that is possible or if they even make a USB infra red unit to plug into a PC. Just a thought.

Sorry to bring up an old post but I just noticed this as well on a claim.
All you have to do to fix it is open the claim and change the claim's status to received and it will fix the problem in the account and remove the claim from the delinquent claims report.

That is a great place to put the 'Paper Chart' because it will also show on the confirmation report which would work great for the person pulling the records to use.

One thing I like about the way it works now, is that you can select all the procedures for each appointment together and set the priority. For me this helps visulaize the plan. That being said having the drop down menu would be nice, especially when editing a plan or rearranging the plan.

Intel 82945G works with hardware Acceleration

I did my upgrade to Ver 5.0.16.0 and the graphics needed to be set to hardware acceleration, after that change everything works great.

I have Dell Optiplex GX 520's with Intel 82945G onboard graphic cards.
