Undelete Procedure?
I have mentioned this issue in the past and it happened several times this week - both to myself and my hygienist. There are times where it will appear that a duplicate appointment is present and the wrong procedure is deleted (from the chart module). Of course, it is still visible in the audit log,...

Hi Janet - Welcome to our forum. The workaround is very straight forward. Add a letter to the 1120 code (ie: 1120a and 1120b). Then you can customize each code, right on down to the description. So, 1120a could read Prophylaxis - child (under 5) and 1120b could read Prophylaxis - child (over 5). The...

Re: Delete lab Slips - Potential Bug
Ok - so that is a game changer. Since I am creating all of my lab slips within Open Dental and signing them, I believed they were part of the legal record. Our state requires that we retain them for five years. So naturally, I assumed that they would become part of the record.

Well here's the crux of the matter - the lab slip was originally created within the chart module and appeared in the treatment list. But it was deleted from the within Appointment module. It should not have disappeared from the treatment list or audit log. In fact, ther's no evidence that it ever ex...

I noted that I had a lot of unattached lab cases (they should have been attached to the insert appointments) and so I started deleting them. It appears that they are also deleted form the chart. I have been entering lab cases through the chart view. But this does not coordinate with the lab case (and upcoming appointment) that is set up in the appointment view. Almost like they are two separate records. Am I doing anything wrong here?

When using the Merge Patients tool, just be advised that the recall dates get duplicated also - this is a minor issue, since the date is easily deleted. I'm wondering if an OD generated "reminder pop-up" immediately after the act of merging would be a good idea?
