Got my plugin adjusted to the changes in the account with installment plans, but wondering if there are enhancements to actually keep track if the pt made a payment or not? Currently it just always shows amt due as the installment plan amt no matter if the pt made any payments the last month or not?...

I tried this yesterday and it didn't work, now I tried it today (after trying many other things and restarting) and now it complies! Yeah! I spent literally 6 hours yesterday trying to get it to work again on my new install of windows on my same 'ol laptop!

Yes, good advice....in our office no one can edit payments except the two doctors. If the staff makes a mistake, they have to alert us and then we have to log in and "correct" it. Annoying at times, but it should reduce the chance for fraud.

you compiled in debug mode which prints to print screen, switch to release mode in C# and compile again...then it will work.

works fine, you can even put a more descriptive name instead of just the .1, etc if you want. it gets cut off on the claim, so it is only internal on the code field

Just posted v 1.4.2 of my plugin which fixes the math change in Open Dental that was causing the error.

I ran it with OD 12.2.20.
It should work with for anyone running OD 12.1.22 and above or 12.2.18 and above

12.2.20 breaks it too. Something was changed in both 12.1.>17 and 12.2.>10 versions the same that effects our account module info. Found the issue...only occurred on brand new installs because I forgot to reload the database's newly installed preferences after I inserted them. So like you said, it was there, but the program hadn't refreshed from the database those new preferences, so it registered as "does not exist." It didn't...

First time I have had this kind of issue, but no, my plugin does not alter anything in the database, just adds a few rows for preferences to turn features on and off. hum...i will retest on a blank database....it only adds a few preferences, but if they don't get updated properly, then it could cause a problem as you experienced...

Never Mind, it looks like I already updated the plugin for that bug last month and didn't finish the version. PluginDrTech.dll V 1.3.1 works fine in 12.2 and probably 12.1 also....Will have it posted to the website after I make a few other changes.

not yet, I haven't upgraded myself in a few months. I was about to, so I will try to get the error corrected when I debug it.

The current one worked for about the last few versions without changes, but looks like another change broke the functionality...

Mark, We used Dentrix for 12 years before moving to Open Dental. It is much better. As Jordan will tell you, there are pros and cons of all software, but overall, OD is great.

Yes, you can open most anything anywhere at the same time. No restrictions.

yes, I have found graphic card's fans are the most common to quit and burn up...if you can get "silent" cards...they will not be as fast...but you don't need blazing fast for office applications...they just have huge heat sinks and no fans to go out...

I think the best is 24" 1080p...esp for the front desk. When we tested both in office, I liked the image quality from XDR better than Dexis...so even though Dexis says it is the best, I didn't think so. Their software certainly is more advanced, but we went with XDR three years ago and love it.

ok, well, we want the email in to sometimes email pictures but Never to send the lab slip, it goes with the physical case...not sure why you are thinking this would be the way we want it? I guess it will require another plugin change...

ditto...making separate codes with a suffix is how we do it (and then of course you want to use auto codes (correction..Procedure buttons with multiple codes) to insert multiple items at once to help you with automatic appointments so to speak.)

For my front desk I think 24" widescreen is the best size with high res. 22" widescreen at 1080p is too small to comfortably read.... (experience here as I have both and what my staff says) You must turn down the res if you go smaller but then the quality of the pictures is severely degraded running...

you are correct in the Dexis will send you a new one...but the $ you will save by buying XDR initially and then you just put that $ in the bank will buy you a whole new sensor the next day if you break it. Then every couple of years that go by you will have saved enough to buy another whole new sens...

make a custom "Patient Field Def" like "PPO/Fin Status" (that's what mine is), then in your appt view setup, have that field show right on the appt. It is not a color, but will do what you want. (you have to fill in the data in the family file.)

easiest thing to do is to setup WebMin on your Ubuntu server and then you can edit those settings really easily and keep on top of your server. I have lots of experience in this area as I have run my officer server using Ubuntu now for about 5 years...let me know if you need any help..

We have XDR, almost everything above is just like our experience, although we have never had any warning messages or whatever when rebooting like above. this is the way we always do ortho if they are paid periodically because they are not fully received and would loose track of them otherwise if they ins company didn't keep paying on target. Yes, I would greatly appreciate text wrap also. notes have to be longer we find a lot of times and they become invisible. If you just include them in the progress notes like we described either above or in another thread that would also be great.

if you want the fee to be the PPO plan only, then leave the type as a category %, if you want both your regular fee to show and the discount applied to make it the PPO fee, then assign the plan a PPO% (this is in each individual ins plan setup in the family file)

Jordan, When I click the Add date button in the lower left of the ortho chart window to add a new row, it is blank and I have to type in a date. Shouldn't it just automatically have today's date listed and highlighted so you only have to click ok unless you want a different date?

The bottom part is a grid where you set up the columns in the Display Fields setup. Then, you can start making dated entries.
Ok, that is what I was looking for....and the date needs to automatically default to today right? (right you now have to type in in manually, which is annoying...)

Just tested in 11.0.8 and I got the same issue.....I guess there could be an error in the hook for statements for plugins that is causing this to happen, I will check that, but I don't have any plugins that change anything with the e-mail function, so that doesn't make sense....

We never use MS Word because we never use letter merge. Open Office/Libre Office will work fine for most people and that way you can have it on all workstations all the time and don't have to worry about licenses, etc...

OpenDental version 7.9.7 broke my plugin again as a function I was using was removed. I had to fix it and release a new version which is now on the website for OD versions 7.8.7 and later. This has never happened before mid version, but really caused problems at my office. I hope this is not a regul...

3. why do you have to go through the family module to make a referral? My plugin solves this problem and enhances referrals access quite a bit. I use it all the time everyday and it gives access in the chart (where you really need it) and account (so the front desk can see it and make the phone call...

We made a dummy pt called "office note" and create a "note" appt on the day that something needs to be done and then we see it on that day.

Yes, the task list dated function is pretty much non functional and needs significant improvements to make it actually work.

I fixed the problem here, somehow the data path option was changed to store images directly in the database without me changing it. Either someone did it by mistake or on upgrade something was switched...might want to verify the latter is not the case. Thanks.

Wow! $800 a month!? For that price, setup your own secure remote server at home and use secure and encrypted SSL to transfer your files for remote backup. This is done with two Linux servers...one at home and one at your office. They can be physical machines or virtual machines. I do it at my office...

you should make a planned appt for your seat appt and then create the lab case from there. Then you will schedule the planned appt and everything will be neatly attached already for you.

Direct X works great for me on all kinds of nVidia gforce cards 6200, 8200, 8400, 8600, 9800...winXP 32bit, Win7 64bit, and Win7 32bit

yes, if you want something different, you can modify the source code. if you want ease of not having to do this for every version update, you need to make a plugin to modify instead of directly...or as long as OD doesn't change the same code in a new version, you can leave your pop-up bubble code ch...

Ubuntu still does not have a .deb package. If you run Readhad/OpenSuse, etc then there are RPM packages ready to run.

I almost have a 5.5. deb package made...just haven't had time to see if it is going to work.
