Sounds great...and while you are at it, I think it would be best for procedures completed that day, didn't disappear from the list after they are completed. That way if they were completed from the chart and not attached to the appt, they can still be attached later on with the C status listed next ...

The way to go if you are a little computer savvy, is to install a server with linux and then you have unlimited capacity. All your regular workstations can be XP as many as you desire! And you no longer have those network problems that always seemed to hound our office with dropped connections.

yes, who will accept the attachments will be a problem. Even when we used NEA (we dropped e-attachments last year because of the hassle of doing two different things and having to figure out which one accepted and which didn't) there were quite a few companies that just didn't accept e-attachments. ...

I might have a different solution altogether. I still like the idea of central log of all notes(including e-mails like you said I would need to include and the addition of the recall note and any tasks for the pt), but what about this: Most of what I was talking about involves working from the LISTS...

Routinely, before we call any patients about tx, make them new appts, or reschedule them, we want the person calling/talking to refresh themselves about what is going on with a patient first. This requires visiting the chart and reading the notes...

ok...there was no reason for the two images, so i put both in, modified the resource file directly and deleted the image

won't compile at this point, but i assume that is from something you are doing.... Let me know if i need to fix anything else with this.

yes...that sounds like a good idea to simplify all the current and future indicators

i was thinking about adding an x-ray indicator using something similar to the logic I put in the recall appt setup for determining if a pt is due for films. Don't know about now, but sometime here....

yes...i did have to overhaul my old code to fit the business layer...

i just included it and it takes one more query...doesn't seem to slow anything up at our office using my old method...but we will need to test it out with this method (should be the same)

This has been really nice in our office since I implemented it a few months ago. It insures claims are created/sent in a timely manner.
The "I" on the appt for ins changes to a red "!" to indicate the account/ins needs attention.
