Correct, 8 processors on the database server. No, Zone Alarm is not installed. We don't have anything on that server that would be scanning the database. Today we had 22 users via terminal server and maybe 3 local users. The server has eight 2GHz Intel Xeon processors and 3GB of RAM. Friday we upgraded our terminal server to Windows 2008 Server 64bit R2 so we could increase the RAM significantly because we were adding another 10 users and the RAM was previously maxing out from time to time. Just wanted to give an update on this. With the help of OD support I was able to get the web service running. Re: Delete a Recall
I brought this up in the past when the recall first changed to being required. Instead of deleting it you can disable the Prophy recall and the disabled status will show in the Notes. The only flaw is that you can't then set the denture recall as the patient's "primary" recall. So the "DateRecallDue...

Why would a bug be considered a "feature" request? A button on a window should do what is expected of it every time it is clicked on, not just sometimes depending on how you got to that window. I'm not going to spend my votes on something that should be fixed automatically.

My apologies for the misinformation - the clinic filter does work for insurance payments.
And I thought I tried everything I could think of to "unselect" the patient payment I didn't want - but I must not have tried the ctrl-click. Thanks.

Is there way to print a progress note for just one day? We treat patients in nursing homes and have to leave a copy with nursing staff for their medical chart at the facility. I tried the right-click "Print Progress Notes..." function but it printed everything, not just what I had selected. Could a ...

Re: two offices in one OD db
You're right, we wouldn't want to overlook a patient that might have been seen at a different clinic and end up with a duplicate. In our situation the clinics are hundreds of miles apart so it would be rare, but for others it might be more of an issue. I guess I was thinking of the clinic choice as ...

Re: two offices in one OD db
It would be nice if the clinic the patient was assigned to was clearly visible from any module - but most importantly the Family and Account modules. It would also be helpful to add it as a search field in the "Select Patient" window, or at least as a column in that list.

Re: Keyboard shortcuts
I couldn't agree more. Having to use the mouse all of the time is hard on the arm and it's much faster to use a keyboard shortcut than mousing over to something and clicking. Being able to switch between modules using a shortcut would be great (i.e. ctrl-1 for Appts, ctrl-2 for Family, etc.). Also, ...

Insurance Payment question
How do I enter a an insurance payment if a portion of the payment was made in error and needs to be refunded? Do I attach that part of the payment to a dummy account? I'm thinking of situations where they pay twice on the same procedure or where they payment should have gone to a different office, e...

Deposit Slip bug
In the Previous Version notes it lists the following bug fix: 5.5.16 Released 3/23/2008 When creating deposit, check entered for a specific clinic was not showing up when "all" was chosen It appears to be fixed for Insurance Payments, but it still seems to be a problem for Patient Payments. I'm runn...

Re: Feature Request: PreAuth Number
I agree that there needs to be a place on the preauth to enter the authorization number after it comes back approved. How are others currently keeping track of the approval #? Are you putting it somewhere else and copying to the claim preauth field when creating the claim? How do you catch it so the...

Re: Setting up a Medicaid Insurance Plan
Thank you, I made the changes you suggested. I have a couple of more questions about this though: 1) If the fee schedule amount ends up being incorrect (sometimes they change), how do you fix it so it doesn't affect the patient balance for services already entered? For example, if I enter a payment ...

Setting up a Medicaid Insurance Plan
I'm trying to setup a Medicaid insurance plan. I have the fee schedule entered and do not want the difference between the insurance estimate and the full fee to show on the patient's balance since it will be written off. The instructions in the user manual say to do the following: 1) Set Plan Type t...
