Make sure you check permissions and case - I don't have Ubuntu installed anywhere at the moment, so I can't check, but I seem to remember that the executable is named OpenDental.exe (notice the case). Thanks. I keep getting the same error with Subversion. Everytime I try to commit something it fails, but then merges the commit when I click "Update".

I just checked out to a new folder, deleted the offending file from the repository and then updated. That seems to have done the trick.

Yeah, they are able to get underneath it somehow. I'll have to film it with a camcorder because there's no way to start a desktop recorder.

I have a feeling it doesn't happen with anything less than a 17" monitor.

I just went to Best Buy and bought a Microsoft VX6000. Works really nice. It was about $60 with tax.

It produces 5 megapixel, high def pictures with auto light adjustment.

I noticed that if I manually click on the Patient Pictures folder *before* I do the import, everything works as expected. The folder at the top of the list is selected by default, and thus the images get put there automagically methinks...

Yikes, that's scary.

My policy is to remove and physically destroy the hard drives, period end of sentence.

Hard drives are so relatively inexpensive now that it hasn't been a major issue for anyone that has wanted to give one of our old PCs a good home.

Is the database running on Windows or Linux (i.e., are you trying to use the Linux box as a client or server)?

What is the error message you get when you try to use the command

Also, make sure you restart mysql after any changes. Sometimes you may need to reboot as well.

sudo service mysql restart

I guessed that the preference table had gotten corrupted somehow when I upgraded (even though it looked fine in Navicat), so I reinstalled it from a backup and everything works fine now.

Which version of OD are you running?

Have you tried turning off the 3D chart (File > Graphics > Use Simple Tooth Chart) to see if that improves performance?

There were some prior problems with the 3D chart over terminal sessions.

Just the default settings for a local install:

Password:

I copied my Windows database to /var/lib/mysql and did a chmod 755 -r just for testing sake
