Re: Stack trace:

It must have been a problem with that specific claim, I do not think it has occurred again.

Poll for expansion of Official "No Fee" N codes?

I posted about this some months back about expansion of the "No Fee" "N codes" in open dental and the thread died, so new thread different spin :D . In our office we like to keep a "procedure code" entry for common items like full mouth periodontal probing, intraoral optical impression, delivery cod...

Re: Calendar has changed

A lot of us schedule "visually" with color codes and the operatories exactly as the patient was seated. For me, sometimes I cannot remember the sequence of things and will jump back a year and a half and look "Around X time" what were we doing, "is this why it was harder to sequence this treatment?"...

Calendar has changed

You used to be able to click on the month/year in the calendar widget and go all the way out to pick previous years, now if you click there nothing happens.

This functionality seems to have been lost somewhere in the 21.2.XX series.

Currently using 21.2.26 and it still is happening.

Re: standard permissions for users?

I think it would be cool for Open Dental to setup an online Wiki that has the exact UI matching the one that we are able setup for our own in-office Wiki in Open Dental. That way we could populate an Open Dental wiki with cool tips like how permissions are setup, and crowd source the discussion on i...

Re: Official No Fee codes

Let me rephrase my question/suggestion.

Does Open dental have a method to suggest/request codes be added to the official list of "No Fee" codes that ship with opend dental?

Feature request?

Re: Official No Fee codes

Thanks! However, we are familiar with and have created codes in the past in both Dentrix and Open Dental, and those codes become PERMANENT fixtures in the database that are hard to replace with newer official codes down the road. Leading to bloat and duplicate codes when later codes are made officia...

Official No Fee codes

Discussion: We are a database conversion customer from Dentrix, and our old software being so <grin> limited </grin>, we had created hundreds of fictitious codes to describe procedures for accurate scheduling and tracking. This resulted in a huge amount of clutter post conversion, and I hope to go f...

Effort to consolidate all medications

We converted our database from Dentrix (don't know if it included drugs or not), We have drugs listed as brand names, we have drugs listed as genereics, we have some that are in twice with different RxNorms. Because some of these meds are tied to specific patients and are in the database I think I a...

Big Idea Soft EASy (Anesthesia Record)

Trying to setup EASy trial. Cannot find instructions for any recent versions of OD, and I am on OD 16.3.x. It is not listed in the program links. Big Idea Soft website has not been updated in quite a long time and has several dead links. Is this something I want to spend that kind of money ($1500) o...

Re: Using EMV credit cards

The perfect device for open dental integration might be the new Poynt terminal (started by one of the guys who started google wallet). https://poynt.com/ It is a android based terminal that runs apps (which any product like open dental could integrate), but meets the stringent security requirements ...

Prompt for printer when printing progress notes

I am able to force printer selection on progress notes to prompt only when the "default" option is selected to prompt. I would like to know if it would be possible to have progress notes as a separate line in the printers setup menu so we can select or unselect prompt, or assign it to a certain prin...

Re: Getting a .NET error when choosing database

I had already run the tool. There were a few things that have to be fixed manually mainly due to dentrix conversion, but none of them appear to be related.

I even ran "optimize" on the database.

Getting a .NET error when choosing database

Getting a database exception when I try to load the database. This does not occur if I check "Do not show this window on startup." If I hit continue everything works as it should, but this error is irritating on one of my workstations that I want to pick the database at startup on. See the end of th...

Re: What "feature level" of DirectX does OD use?

As for Open Dental's stand on Direct X, I don't see where we specify any feature level at all. Have you tried installing the Direct X SDK on the computer with the issue (for whatever reason this fixes odd graphical glitches sometimes)? Does OpenGL work on the computer (I'm not asking you to use Ope...

What "feature level" of DirectX does OD use?

The reason I ask is because on 12 systems with i5 / Intel 4600 integrated graphics I am unable to enable DirectX in the chart. All have stock win8.1 which comes with DX11. DXDiag reports no problems... except that it appears that the new intel integrated graphics don't support anything older than DX...

Re: Sms text messages

First post, be gentle...

Skype can be used through Asterisk if you have an Asterisk IP-PBX... Imagine OpenDental natively sending a SMS to your Asterisk server which then uses Skype to send it anywhere in the world for 11 cents a message.
