Kiosk with win8 tablet is cumbersome

We are trying to integrate Dell Latitude Windows 8 tablets to use for registration forms but it is too cumbersome to enter the data. With the keyboard fix that is noted in the user manual, entering fields is very time consuming and laborious. The latitude screen size is 10.1" so a standard 8.5x11 sh...

Webforms vs. Patient Studio

We've used Webforms in the past with mixed success and I'm wondering if the stability and consistency has improved over the past year or 2. We were very excited to reduce paper scanning and field inputs but many times only 1 or 2 pages would be successfully submitted to us or not at all. We gave up ...

Re: Visix any good?

I have had a horrific experience with Visix and would highly recommend not using their software since I believe their licensing methods to be hostile and unethical. Unless you purchase their very expensive annual support, which they didn't significantly update over 7 years, they charge about $165 to...

Re: CAMBRA

I have an excel version I can share with you that is modifed from the Featherstone/CariFree versions...I just don't know how to attach it. I use it in sheets as a form and it works real well for us. PM or let me know how to attach and I'll send it your way.

Re: Windows 8 Touch

I saw that too...I really like the foldable keyboard but the kickstand is so-so as it seems you'll still want some sort of foldable case to use on your lap.

Windows 8 Touch

Does anyone have any insight regarding using Windows 8 touch capability within OD? My hope is that we can navigate OD using a stylus on the monitor and eliminate keyboard/mouse use during active pt. treatment. Also, it sounds like MS is releasing a tablet of their own using their 8 framework. I assu...

Unknown items in OD?

Can anyone tell me what "questionaires" are...there is a section for this in the setup but I can't make out what it is for and can't find it in the OD manual?

Also...what is the "ABC0" field in the patient information section of the family module and what is it used for?

Thanks!

Re: Appointment View Flags v 7.2

Rick, I was planning on using the "address and phone notes" box in the patient edit window (from Family Module) to add codes for patients...A/B/C - based on likeability/pays on time/shows up for appts, perceived DISC profile, and disease risk level. Each code letter or number can be listed verticall...

Re: Sheets Creation Service

Thank you Rick and Jordan for your feedback. Rick, I'm going to try out the pdf route and see where that takes me and save up for a sheets conversion if it seems the pdf task gets to be overwhelming for the number of sheets I want.
Thanks again,
Ryan

Re: Sheets-Auto Notes or Auto Text?

Savvy, thanks for the explaination...I've never understood the Procedure Links setup until now...thank you for enlightening me on this. I wish you could add specific template-based word and excel files with radio buttons instead of just opening the program, then searching for specific files to open....

Sheets Creation Service

Others have suggested creating a shared sheets forum to expedite fabrication...but I have another inquiry...I would like approx. 50 word and excel based forms and letters transfered to sheets and the time required to learn sheets fabrication and implimentation is daunting. Can anyone guesstimate how...

Re: Sheets-Auto Notes or Auto Text?

Savvy, I use a similar protocol as you do for saving completed forms. A few questions and comments... How do you attach a link to word in the chart module?...I have my template forms saved as a quick launch icon at the bottom of the Windows toolbar. Is using "autotext" more efficient for adding comm...

Re: Completed Procedure Edit Security

Thank you both for your replies... Nathan, my intent is to prevent the deletion of a procedure that occured in the past as an embezzlement prevention. The scenario I've envisioned is monetary collection for a procedure that occured a month ago, delete the procedure, pocket the money. The procedure d...

Completed Procedure Edit Security

I have recently implimented the security setting of disallowing employees to edit completed procedures. However, my real goal was to prevent completed procedures from being deleted . Does anyone have any advise regarding the prevention of employees deleting a completed procedure while still allowing...

Dolphin Imaging Bridge

Is anyone using Dolphin bridged to OD? I am considering using it as our primary image capture software from a ScanX. Would like to know if Dolphin opens the images for the same patient automatically when selecting the Dolphin bridge button in the OD software. I've read on DentalTown that you have to...
