Re: Planned Appointments are irritating

It would be helpful for someone at OD to chime in on this one, don't you think??? Seems to be a common complaint

VERSION UPDATES

I know that each new version (13.2, 13.3, etc) have descriptions of changes/additions that have been made. The incremental updates (second decimal), however, don't have those descriptions. It would be helpful to know what has changed so we can take advantage anything new and improved. Is that possib...

Re: Need a Positive Review of Open Dental

There was some talk of regional User Group meetings at one point, but haven't heard anything recently. Anything in the works?

Re: Autonotes

We've been on OD only 4 months. I use the Autonotes for most routine clinical notes, but I just changed how I use it. Going through individual prompts for "material", "anesthetic", "condition", etc was a real pain, having to click an option and go to the next prompt. Instead, I've designed my Autono...

Re: Free SMS Texting with Google Voice in OD

Sounds like a great idea, but how do you set up the "button in each module"??

Re: Perio Charting

I knew you'd have the answer! Got the recession charting figured out, but the extra appointment line in chart notes not yet. I don't see the "view" tab at the top of the chart module. Do you mean "display fields" in setup? I tried that but no changes. I'm talking about the redundant line item in pro...

Perio Charting

I am checking out the trial version with a trial data conversion. Two questions: 1. At recalls, we record probings, but also record gingival recession levels to monitor any changes in root exposure. It appears that the perio chart only allows for measuring this on the initial exam. Does the current ...

Re: Nobody has requested a web version

I'm one of those "boomers" and my only concern with web-based apps is that you have your database in the "cloud" under someone else's control. Am I mistaken? Like Rick said, dentists can be control freaks and when they're comfortable with a system that they've learned to use, it's tough to make that...

Re: Deposit Slip

our BofA branch doesn't want the itemized deposit slip. They just take the pre-printed one with only the total on it. So far not a problem.

Resubmitting insurance claims

How does one resubmit a claim if the insurance co denies receiving it? Keep getting the box saying a claim can only be submitted once to a carrier. thanks

Re: End of day accounting : Day Sheets

Thanks...again, Jordan. Clearly I haven't been looking at the reports right! The P&I report shows ALL the data i'm looking for and the fact that it can be pulled up at a later date to check against a printed copy is all the info I need. I think adding the a/r numbers to the P&I report is stil...

Re: End of day accounting : Day Sheets

Thanks for your help, Jordan. I'm planning on switching to OD from Patient Base, and I'm trying to sort out all the things we use now and how we would get the same information on OD. The ability to modify existing reports is interesting to me, but I'll have to spend more time learning the query lang...

Re: End of day accounting : Day Sheets

Great work, Nathan, but what I'm suggesting is more like a combination of the daily P&I report + the daily Adjustment report with a beginning A/R balance and an ending A/R balance. Sound more like the feature request Jordan mentions for the P&I report, but also including the Adjustment report. Showi...

 HOLY COMPUTERCODE, BATMAN!! Like I said...someone who has a good grasp of the query language! Might as well be Sanskrit for us mortals  Hope you're getting paid REALLY well, Nathan! Keeping it all in the family, eh? Well done.

End of day accounting : Day Sheets

I'd be interested to know what users are doing in place of "day sheets". By that I mean a report that shows all account activity for the day and correlates that to a running total of accounts receivable. It would be a combination of the production, adjustment, and payment reports showing the beginni...
