Go to https://www.aetna.com/about-us/login.html#tab_link_tabs_5. Register for an account, then log in and go to search explanation of benefits and find all the claims that were processed and match them to the amount deposited in your bank. You can also go to https://www.metdental.com/prov/execute/ho...

Deleting unused treatment plan procedures

Hi, Is there any way to delete items in a treatment plan that were not done, but are attached to a preauthorization. For example, a post and core on a tooth that only needed a core build up. If I go to procedure info and click on edit anyway. I get: Not allowed to delete a procedure that is attached...

Re: Lab Fee

I upgraded from 14.3. I believe the lab case fee box was showing up on my other workstations. I use Kapricorn systems to update my software and do my offsite backups. Perhaps it is an plugin or add on that they did. I will give them a call tomorrow.
Thanks!

Re: HIPAA Compliant Email

Why does the ADA endorse PBHS when it has on its website (for member use only) a: An authorization form for a patient to use to consent to unencrypted email (must be a stand-alone document) (DOCX). This form can be located at: http://www.ada.org; Home; Member Center; Member Benefits; Legal Resources...

Re: Hygiene/Recall Analysis Report

I am using version 14.2.25.0. I have scroll bars next to daily and monthly and I have scrolled down on both of them. Maybe Kapricorn systems (my IT company) added extra reports when they installed the hardware and software. How do I attach an image here? Here is a link to a screen shot in dropbox: h...

Hygiene/Recall Analysis Report

I am trying to figure out the Hygiene/Recall Analysis report, everything seems straight forward, but I can't figure out where the Patients Expected number comes from. When I look at Feb 2016 it has many more patients expected than I have scheduled in the appointment book and if I add on the patients...

Re: Organizing Patient Notes

Thanks,
When I get to Select "Patient Information" on the right pane the only fields available are Pat Fields, Birthdate, City, Ask to Arrive Early and Super Head. Should I pick Pat Fields or do I need to add Patient Information to the right pane and if so how do I do that?

Re: Organizing Patient Notes

What I did was make another type of CommLog type and call it Family Info. Now up until tonight I could not see all my CommLog notes because when I clicked on Show, None, CommLog all I got was a list of the dates that I had added a CommLog note. Tonight I realized that if I click on Show, None, CommL...

The Ohio Dental Association Services Corporation is endorsing ClaimX by Extradent. For ODA members the rate is 25 cents a claim. Has anyone tried them? I'm using Claim connect, but this is less expensive.

Group Notes

I have been using group notes to write my progress note at the end of each appointment. I need a report at the end of the day to check these notes and make sure each patient has a note written. Is there some way to produce this report? It's a pain to go to each patient chart and check this. The inco...

Thanks Jordan, I love open dental. Now I have another question. How do I show a remaining root that I use for an anchor for an attachment. Re: Charting implants

Thank you so much. The patient had a crown on the tooth that was extracted. Once I removed the crown the graphic was just the implant.
