Help! Why is 'claims show UCR' unchecked w/PPO percentage?

Hi, I have a problem with insurance setup, we use PPO percentage for all plans except with Medicaid plans. I've noticed that the 'Claims shows UCR' checkbox in the insurance setup gets unchecked when 'PPO percentage' is selected. Typically, when the patient has one insurance and it is setup as PPO p...

Re: New Patients and the Insurance they come in with

I have the following query which lists insurance for New Patients. You would need to change the data range in the first line. One possible issue is that the query uses the DateFirstVisit to identify new patients. It seems that if a new patient schedules once before and broke the appointment, the Dat...

Re: Clinic column in 'Send Claims' & Med/Premed Flag

Thanks for the fix, I updated to 12.2.32 and Clinic now shows in the 'Send Claims' window; however I noticed another problem in that same window which I think was fine before the update. On the bottom part that shows the sent claims, the carrier does not show in the Carrier column for most of the cl...

Dr Ceph Program Link doesn't work anymore?

Hi, We haven't used the Dr Ceph program link in a while and it used to work fine with previous Open Dental versions. Now, if we try to access the program we get the error message 'Race must be entered first" and the program does not launch. This happens with patients who already have an account set ...

Med/Premed flag on appointment - possible bug

Hi, I created a new post with this issue separately because it was previously included with an unrelated topic. On the appointment view, there is the red + sign which is the Med or Premed flag. We are using EHR so we are started to set "No problems" "No allergies" and "No medications" for patients w...

Re: Clinic column in 'Send Claims' & Med/Premed Flag

Ok, what about the second issue with the Med/Premed flag? Premed is not checked and only the designated No problem/no allergy/no RX settings are used AND they are set to inactive, but the patient appointment still shows a red + sign on it.

Thanks.

Clinic column in 'Send Claims' & Med/Premed Flag

Hi, I am using the latest version of Open Dental (not Beta) and I have noticed some possible issues: In the 'Send Claim' window, nothing shows up under 'Clinic' column ever even though I have claims in there with 2 different clinics. This has been happening for as long as I remember with previous ve...

Re: The Scheduling Institute

We're also just starting with the Scheduling Institute and I'm inclined towards having the staff do a manual tracking chart so that they always know where they are in terms of the goal. Unless the staff have access to a report showing the count of new patients per staff member, it feels like we will...

Re: e-claim preauthorization are missing info

I'm using 7.2.46, and I went back to look at the examples I had, and you are right, they are all marked 'T". Thanks for the bug fix. The ones that have been passing through are apparently resulting from sending a claim and a preauth for the same person in the same batch, so I believe the resulting X...

e-claim preauthorization are missing info

For a while now we've been having an issue with preauthorizations being sent by e-claims. Alot of them have gone missing somewhere between the clearing house and the payer. Anyway, I had the technical support at the clearing house look into it and they come back to me with this answer, that it is a ...

Re: Appointment view/pop-up

I think you were primarily talking about appointment views, but what about the pop-up (that appears on the appointment), it shows "Insured" when the appointment is not complete, and shows the name of the insurance carrier when the appointment is completed. I'd like to be able to see the insurance in...

Re: Email - remove Attachments, re-send & failed send

Thanks for the response. 1. I just tried it for a newly created email and the menu is not grayed out, here is what I did: Press: Email, then Attach, select file, OK, right-click on file, I am able to {open, remove, rename} . However, if I save the email after attaching a file (still an unsent email)...

Re: Appointment view/pop-up

Searching the forum again, I answered one of my questions: pop-up is not customizable, but I could edit source code at 'ContrAppt.cs line 3130.' So, I suppose having the insurance carrier name show always in the pop-up is somewhat 'do-able' ? But before I get into editing source code, I just want to...

Appointment view/pop-up

Using 7.2.46, about appointment views: - Is there a reason why this pop-up (that appears on the appointment) shows "Insured" when the appointment is not complete, and only shows the name of the insurance when the appointment is completed? - Is the pop-up customizable? What I would like to do is have...

Email - remove Attachments, re-send & failed send

Upgraded to 7.2.46 a little while ago and loving all the new features, but there are some little things that really bug me, and I am wondering if there's a way to do/fix them, I'll post related questions in different posts so it doesn't get too long. So about emailing from the Patient account: 1- On...

Re: small 3D tooth chart

Sorry to reply to such an old thread, but I'm having this same problem and the suggested solution doesn't apply to the version of OD i'm running. Although several of my PCs are Vista (32 bit), only one of these is showing the tooth chart really small. The suggestion above of File>graphics is not ava...

E-Claim for 2nd clinic imports wrong address

I have two clinics set up in OD, and although the preview of the paper claim for the secondary clinic looks fine in terms of addresses and EIN, the eclaim import shows the default address (which is for the primary clinic). Other than manually editing the ASCII file, is there some option or setup to ...

Re: Connecting to the OD server over VPN - database not present

Well, I got it fixed. Thanks for the help. The server is a Windows, and I was able to connect by IP address. Turns out the file sharing works just fine without the WINS server, I just have to browse the shared folders by LAN IP address instead of it showing up automatically in the 'workgroup compute...

Connecting to the OD server over VPN - database not present

Hi, I have a vpn connection using Open VPN set up with a computer on the LAN that has the OD server. I am able to ping by address the VPN server (by both the VPN address and the LAN address) and the OD server (by LAN address). When I try to run Open Dental to connect to the OD server address, I am g...
