That is an impossible question. Depends on the size of your practice, how many providers, how many patients per week. Curious about the number of files you are adding each month to add up to 1.5 - 2 GB. My Dexis data folder is 7.3 GB (65,600 files) in 10 yrs. Dexis does an excellent job of compressi...

I also back up the C:\Users\Robert folder on the host (which contains the VirtualBox VMs & the .VirtualBox folders) wit...

Re: Shredding Service

We have an Executive Machines EPS-1501X (15 sheet shredder), 10+ yrs old. Got it in Staples on a Black Friday. Never put in lubricating sheets. Still running strong, after shredding tens of thousands of pages of old charts. Maybe you should check how your staff is using yours. Are they overstuffing ...

Created a shortcuts folder which I pinned to the left side of the taskbar. It contains all the shortcuts I would miss from not having a Start Menu. Even put in shortc...

Re: Dental RAT foot controlled perio input

We have been using the Florida Probe for many years and I am very happy with it. I also finally have a hygienist who understands the value and importance of probing patients. As with all new devices there is a learning curve, but she has picked it up remarkably quickly. It is expensive, ~$5K, but I ...

Re: Two Win 8 questions

I have Win 8 on one of my frontdesk machines (upgraded from Win XP). Stable and quick as lightening. Love it. I only use it in Desktop mode. I created a folder of shortcuts and pinned it to the left of the taskbar in lieu of a Start button. Also made a shortcut to Shut Down the computer & pinned it ...
