Re: Select Patient from history Bug

Upgraded to 5.7.8.0. When pinboard is cleared, application crashes when trying to select previous patient(from drop down history).

Unhandled exception in custom statement

Updated to 5.7.8.0 but still get an error: There is no row at position 32. when trying to print a custom statement with date ranges for one patient. Seems like it is related to our database though. Ran database maintenance but to no avail.

Thank you for your help, keep up the good work.

Re: Select Patient from history Bug

Additionally, I checked out the Anesthesia button and I get
"Table 'opendental.ansetheticrecord' doesn't exist" error.
if I hit Continue it does get me to next window.

Select Patient from history Bug

Running 5.7.3.0
I get an error when clicking on history of selected patients (program's fresh start). Similar error happens when clearing PinBoard and there was a history of previously selected patients.

"Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: query."

Re: Web Version Demo is available

Looks pretty good in IE(could not login in FF). I have noticed that physical F1-F3 buttons are reserved for IE functionalities.

Apply part of payment to other family members?

I've noticed when entering payment in the Account module for a single patient this message pops up. Additionally, if any numbers typed after 0.00 the program accepts it as a payment then resets it to 0.00

Prescription Format in MA

One of our pharmacists requested that our prescriptions would follow the guidelines posted at: http://www.mass.gov/Eeohhs2/docs/dph/regs/105cmr721.pdf 721.020 (2) Page 2 Is there a way to implement that in the prescription when printing? "Interchange is mandated unless the practitioner indicates 'no...

Re: Keyboard shortcuts

I think it would be great idea to have keyboard shortcuts for frequently used buttons. Ctrl+F would be very nice feature to look up patients(when pts. call in to confirm for example) so there is no need to move to upper left corner then to lower right to make/find an appointment. Not a big deal on l...

Re: Keyboard shortcuts

I think it would be great idea to have keyboard shortcuts for frequently used buttons.
e.g. CTRL+F to search for patients in Appts module.
Additionally, is there a way to use Tab to switch between required(highlighted yellow) fields in Procedure Info window e.g. Tooth and Surfaces fields?

Just upgraded to 5.6.22; delays are about 1-2.5 secs. Thank you for a quick response.

Re: Account Module loads very slow

I have noticed that it also depends on the speed of the computer. I was thinking of switching to Gigabit Ethernet but the operatory laptops don't have the GbE port . I just don't want to upgrade to dual/quad core just to run the database.

Re: Account Module loads very slow

Where can I upload the file? I used Navicat, so would *.psc backup file work or do you need the whole sql dump? Since we are on the speed topic, is there anything that can be done to speed up load time for Procedure Codes?

Account Module loads very slow

Just updated to 5.6.20.0
Depending on the account history length when clicking on the module loads(almost hangs) very long. Tried the database on a different computer including database maintenance - same result. There is a waiting time of about 10-30 seconds.

Re: Credit Card Processing Integration - XCharge Feedback

Depends on how close you want the integration to be done. My understanding is that there is 10$ monthly fee and another 10 for support? If my calculations are correct that would be another 720$ for 3 years on top of everything. I had a quote from a Citizens bank representative for of 540 for the com...

Re: MySQL Database on Network Attached Storage(NAS) - works!!

I created fault tolerant servers in the past, created backup strategies etc etc. Mysql Chain replication is by far superior. ( http://www.open-dent.com/manual/daisychainreplication.html). It was a necessity because I have 2 dental offices that required database replication. I think it is a superior...

Re: MySQL Database on Network Attached Storage(NAS) - works!!

This type of enclosure supports only 2 HDDs, therefore RAID-0/RAID-1 support. I do not know about the cost of a server with 2 HDDS in RAID and keeping it on 24/7. The size of the enclosure is much smaller than any mini/micro cases that support 2 hard drives. Judging by the specs from manufacture and...

Re: Credit Card Processing Integration - XCharge Feedback

Hey Sean,
I was wondering what other monthly charges apply besides the 3 year contract? Additionally, what is the cancellation fee, in case we would not be happy with your service along those 3 years?

Thanks

Re: MySQL Database on Network Attached Storage(NAS) - works!!

I thought to use it as a nice automated network backup but then I realized that it is possible to run SQL server right on it, so I thought: "Why not?" :) The only issue is that there is a delay on accessing Procedure Codes Table, so I'm looking for the next model with faster processor(500mhz vs 266M...

Re: MySQL Database on Network Attached Storage(NAS) - works!!

With limited space this works out to be an excellent solution for storing/backup data i.e. digital x-rays, OpenDentImages folder. This unit has a gigabit connection and it supports 2 SATA drives in RAID 1 for redundancy. On top of that I got it to work with MySql so any information can be accessed w...

MySQL Database on Network Attached Storage(NAS) - works!!

Has anybody tried to run MySQL server on the Synology DS-207 http://techgage.com/print/synology_ds207_2-bay_nas_server or any other (MySQL capable)NAS? DS-207 drive supports PHP/MySQL and RAID 1. I was thinking of having OpendDentImages + mysql on it for All-in-one backup solution witch is computer ...
