CommLog is the better choice in my opinion.

No need to create dummy codes to accomplish this. Every dummy code will show as a line item on the patient ledger (for instance when you print a statement). This just confuses the patients. The cleaner look and feel will be the CommLog.

On the left side page of the Billing Options (after selecting Billing from the Manage Module) there is a check box to Exclude if Ins pending. You probably have that checked as a default. Just uncheck it if you want those bills to be generated.

I think what you are looking for is in the Reports, Daily, Procedures. Adjust the date range as needed (monthly or for the year) and then select group by procedure code and you should have a report that shows a breakdown of quantity and total fees for each.

Go to the Account module, highlight the procedures you want to send, and hit the drop down box (arrow) to the right of the NEW CLAIM button and select Secondary.
