Re: Is this computer a good choice?

Well. Video is a function of what you want to see. I just noticed that you already have a 1gb radeon GPU 7470 in your quote. That is a Dual video card. If you dont need it, you can simply go with the default GPU that comes with the mother board. If you dont like what you see, you can always throw in...

Re: What are you guys using for data encryption?

This has been an interesting thread; and reflecting Nate's comments, I am also looking for a simpler solution. My setup: 1. I have a Optiplex 990 Server - Intel i5; and a RAID 1 set up; Currently with no partition. Running windows 7 Pro 64 bit. (No Bitlocker) 2. I log on remotely using Logmein to ch...

Re: Is this computer a good choice?

This config looks pretty good. I have used Optiplexes in all my Ops and they are a workhorse. i3 is more than sufficient for Ops use; and you are having enough memory.

Question on your Video Card. Do you use dual monitors? If so, you may want to upgrade to Dual VGA.

Hope this helps!

IO Camera - Suggestions

I am experimenting OD for my scratch startup and very much like it. I plan to buy a USB camera, perhaps, a low-cost camera from eBay. Do you have any suggestions for the brand/model that integrates with OD.

Thanks
