Re: Unable to build Version 23.1 - Platform Toolset cannot be found

Cool and good info. Is that systemic to the build? or Specific to your build ENV and scenario (tools, 3rd party libraries, etc?)

Re: Error compiling 22.4

Ok. Well I am still digging. I would like to see the verbose logging for the build attempt. My complete speculation is "what's the google oauth issue(s)?" Maybe ya a re missing a build package related to using the Google API's?

Can ya use the power aPps mysql connector and gateway...

To access the opendental schema (read only and not CRUD), or do ya have to use the ApI? If the latter is the case, has anyone used APM or a custom connector to wrap up the OD API to expose it to powerapps, power portal or Power BI?

Re: Using Office365 Email Through OpenDental

We have it running on Microsoft 365 and it works great. Love it. Next we will pipe it through both Dynamics 365 CE and Customer service (thats for the DSO/Lab part of the business). Caveat though. This is brand new and apparently ya need the latest build of OD to make it work consistently

Re: Please give 5-10 votes and critical for Web Forms on Patient Portal

I believe you actually have more flexibility with both instrumentation/analytics and branding/design when using web forms hosted on your primary branding web site. If you only had webforms tightly coupled ro patient lortal, then net new customers would force OD Portal to provision a new user both in...

Re: 2 Offices, 1 Server

Why would the DB's TCP transactions and payload require data base replication or two phased commits? And how do ya queue transaction logs for long running processes or CRUD operations? Am I incorrect in assuming that the heavy payloads and latency issues are file shares and file i/o vs db transactio...

Re: 2 Offices, 1 Server

I am new to this and have been thinking through some physical/logical desings. From what I can tell the biggest bandwidth requirement will be for file shares and not client/server DB queries. We use XDR and OpenDentImages. I plan to create file cache servers that are local to the offices (like \\loc...
