OK... #452 gives the total, but without the individual patients. But, that's pretty much what I was looking for.
Thanks!

Re: Scheduled production report
OK... tried it. Almost what I need. It would be nice to have a total. This report just lists each patient with production for that patient. My real purpose was to be able to look at a total scheduled production for a period.

Re: Scheduled production report
I did TRY to search for one. But, the search function only allows selection of categories rather than search for specific terms. So, it ends up giving dozens and dozens or even hundreds of results. I guess I don't have the patience / time to sort through that many results. I wish we could refine the...

Scheduled production report
I've searched everywhere, and I cannot find this specific topic covered (surprising).
How can I run a report for a range of dates (in the future) that will give me a total scheduled production ($)?
Thanks!

Prescription report
I would like to run a report that lists all prescriptions written for a time period (last year, for example). I went to the example queries page. But, the closest example will do report for a specified time period AND for a specific drug. I want to do it for ALL drugs. Anyone know how to modify this...

Re: Treatment plan priority not changing sort order anymore.
Arna, the functionality to resort saved treatment plans was not added in 15.4 from what I can tell. Mike, there currently is a feature request (2969) that has votes on it to reorder procedures within saved treatment plans. If you add some votes to it, it becomes more likely that we will implement i...

Re: Treatment plan priority not changing sort order anymore.
You know... I might have been in a saved treatment plan and not realized it. I don't remember honestly.
That said, it would be nice to be able to change priorities in saved treatment plans.
Thanks!
Mike

Treatment plan priority not changing sort order anymore.
Previously, when I added a priority to a treatment plan item (or group of items), the sort order would automatically update. I just updated to version 15.3.43.0. And, now the sort order doesn't change. It was one of my favorite features. Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks! Mike

Account labels?
Hi guys, I want to print sheets of address labels (30 labels / sheet Avery form) of all "active" accounts... let's say accounts with patients who have been to the office in the last 2 years. This is for a marketing newsletter (snail mail). I found how to run labels for families, so that's good. It h...

Re: Who has this patient referred?
Is there a way to find out who a particular patient has referred to my practice? I see that by double clicking on the Referral row in the Family module who referred THIS patient to us, and who we have referred her OUT to. But, I want to find out who SHE has referred TO US. Re: Who has this patient referred?
Hi Arna, Thanks. I've saved that report and will use it to see the big picture. But, it doesn't exactly solve this particular question. I wanted to be able to go into a patient's file and see a field or pop-up window that lists who THAT particular patient has referred to the practice for all dates. ...

Re: Need help writing User Query
OK, my suspicion is confirmed. I wrote you a query where we convert the text string in your custom QDPAnniversary field to a date type value and it should work. Please try this: Select patient.Lname, patient.Fname, patient.email, patfield.fieldvalue as QDPAnniversary From patient, patfield Where pa...

Re: Need help writing User Query
Your problem is that those added fields get stored in another table called "patfield". So you would have to link both tables using a common field like the patnum field. This is what you would get: select patient.Lname, patient.Fname, patient.email, patfield.fieldvalue From patient, patfield Where p...

Need help writing User Query
I haven't quite figured out how to write queries (SQL language). I created a Patient Field Definition called "QDP Anniversary" with a date. I'd like to run a report that would list all my QDP patients. So, the report would be active patients with a date in that field that is greater than January 1st...

Re: Color-coded appointments
Hi Mike! Great to see you here. The background color of appointments is provider specific as set up in definitions and the schedule setup screen. Use colors that look nice with the text colors you provide. It does not change based on the procedure scheduled. Hi Bob! Thanks! I'm really liking Open D...

Color-coded appointments
Another newbie question... I figured out how to color code the procedure codes in appointments. Just the text changes color. The only thing is that they are hard to see. The text is pretty small on the appointment screen, and unless the text is black, it's hard to see. I wondered if there's a way to...

Re: Practice Barometers Report
Hi Kevin, Thanks for your efforts! Pardon my newbie questions. I'm not familiar with all the coding in the query? Softdent could generate user-customized reports without having to be a coding wizard. All I had to do is check off what I wanted to appear in the report. How do I change the date ranges?...

Re: Practice Barometers Report
In your previous software, how was the missed appointment production calculated? Was it based on empty time on the schedule? Or did the software track the production for cancelled/no show appointments? I believe (but not sure) that it's based on cancelled / no show appts. I will say that metric was...

Hello! New user here. I switched over from a very old version of Softdent (9.1) running on a Windows 98 machine. No kidding. We are loving Open Dental. It's a fantastic program.
