Re: Middle Tier remote computers throw validation errors

Fixed. Thank you to the guy that I talked to on the emergency line. He gave me the information that I needed to correct this. The issue is that the column toothinitialtype is restricted to only 10 values and I had over 600 patients that had at least one data entry where it was set to 15. The column ...

Middle Tier remote computers throw validation errors

I'm pounding my head against the wall trying to figure out what is going on with this. Everything works fine on the server itself, but fails on the remote computers, but only when in chart and only for certain patients. Error Encountered - 06/26/2022 5:22:06 PM Unhandled exception : Instance validat...

Office Network Build series

So, I've been kind of on here for a while. I'm the CIO for my parent's dental office, which is just a fancy way of saying that my parents call me to fix all their computer problems. Outside of the work I do for their office, I'm a computer technician, network administrator, programmer, EMT, Soldier,...

Re: Single sign on/ldap

Fixed it! Your comments on the version reminded me to check what version we'd updated to most recently. 17.2, apparently. Bumping up to 17.3 resolved the problem.

Re: Single sign on/ldap

Awesome! Thanks. I'm at home at the moment, but I'll probably go in to the office in a few hours to give it a try; I should have the results posted by tomorrow morning.

Single sign on/ldap

I'm trying to get the ldap sign on to work, and I'm having a hell of a time with it. My ADDC works great, OD reads my domain users, I have all my OD accounts associated with my domain use accounts... It should be automatically logging in with the user logged into windows, but it's not. It keeps goin...

Re: ScanX Imaging software

Ah, that stinks. How much would they charge you to "convert" to Patterson? No idea. Probably too much. I did get back ahold of the regional salesperson. Good news is he transferred me to one of their techs who, after talking to me, told him that all I need is a single license. No database, no suppo...

Re: ScanX Imaging software

For what it's worth, the Eaglesoft Imaging Module is exactly the same thing as Patterson Imaging. They just brand the software differently when it's setup outside of their Eaglesoft infrastructure. I figured... but when it comes with Eaglesoft it also can't be separated from Eaglesoft. It doesn't h...

Re: ScanX Imaging software

Does Eaglesoft capture and edit images from your ScanX machine directly? I thought you needed an imaging software to bridge with Eaglesoft. Yup. Not sure if previous versions required separate software, but as of at least V.16 (what we have currently), Eaglesoft has its own integrated imaging modul...

Re: ScanX Imaging software

Currently using Eaglesoft.

EDIT: Wait... the ScanX comes with Visix? That I didn't know (I didn't set the system up). I'll have to dig around to find it. My understanding is that Visix had to be bought separately and we did not get it because we didn't need it (at the time).

ScanX Imaging software

So, I'm getting so frustrated right now. We like OpenDental... or at least what we've tried with the trial... but the only thing that has held us back from making the jump is that, from what I understand, it has no included way of communicating with, and pulling images from, our ScanX machine. Corre...

Provider vs Employee

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I'm understanding is that a user can not be both a provider and an employee... an employee has access to the time clock, but can't be on the schedule as a provider... and providers can be on the schedule, but not in the time clock... correct? So... what does ou...
