Re: Auto fill Sheets Based on Previous Answers

Well I tried for a few hours but it seems to be more complex than what we have right now. It technically works, but the fact that it is stuck in patient forms really kind of messes with everything. it seems to be more work then the way we have all notes set up right now. I think, putting it into exa...

Hi, https://api.xchart.com/v1/doc I have zero developer knowledge, but from what I'm reading on the webpage it looks like open dental could talk to Xchart (anesthesia management software) and create a new patient in Xchart and fill in some of their information. Am I reading the webpage correctly? Is...

Auto fill Sheets Based on Previous Answers

Hi, Is there a way to autofill sheets based on a previous answer? For example, we do an exam and have caries noted on tooth 14 occlusal (text based entry) from 6 months ago. Is there a way to autopopulate a new exam sheet with the same information in the same text field? The same kind of question go...

I see that they are read only right now. Is there a technical limitation that will never allow us to write back to OD or is that a feature that just hasn't quite made it yet? Open Dental Touch Dictation

Hi, Will OD touch use the native iOS dictation ability to dictate notes? Would be amazing if it could. I'm not paying 3k a year for Nuance's professional dictation SAAS. I've tried their $500 stand alone version and it's ok but definitely not up to date. Plus it's a major resource hog. Windows is wh...

Native sensor won't happen in OD any time soon. I just asked. Probably not worth the expense of paying developers to keep up with all the sensors without charging OD users an extra fee to use the imaging module which isn't really feasible.

We are nowhere close to being done with Open Dental. We've barely scratched the surface of what's possible. Where is OD going?

I'm curious if anyone like Jordan can comment on where OD is "going" in the next 3-5 years or so. It seems like running an OD hosted cloud based version and then building out APIs seem to be pretty high on the list when I look at release notes. I'm super happy they are doing that so that 3rd party p...

We use autonotes a ton. Love the nesting feature. That really allowed us to customize stuff. There are some things that we still type up though. Hi,

We just updated to 21.1.33 and the text in the chart "notes" box along with the notes themselves turns bold and sometimes completely blacked out when we type. Is that something that anyone else has experienced?

Thanks,
