Hey Jesse,

It's been a while since I've used them but the feature is solid and has been around a long time.

Go to the chart module.
Under the Show Tab, you have the option to set a date range. There is a box that says 'All Dates'. Click on the icon with '...' directly beside it to choose your date range.
Once you've filtered to only show the notes you wish, you can right click on the chart and print.

Open Dental calculates downgrades posterior composites to amalgams automatically, as long as the 'Don't substitute codes' box is not checked in the insurance plan setup (it's not checked, by default). There also needs to be fees for the amalgam codes in the insurance fee schedules so that Open Denta...

One issue we've been hit with on the support side is the fact that Windows sets password protected sharing to default, even if it is turned off in Windows previously. This causes some grief when trying to access the OpenDentImages folder.

Are you printing a copy of the claim, or sending electronically? (The HCFA 1500 is not equivalent to the X-12 Medical file that is generated.)
Is the claim set as Medical or Dental?
We may need to remote connect to take a look at the database and X-12 with you.

As I mentioned before, if the work was Tx planned before the change, you'll need to adjust manually. Try charting another procedure, and it should pull the Assurant/DHA fees for you now.

You need to manually change the fees if the procedures are already set complete. Moving forward, the plan will use the Insurance Fee to Treatment Plan, but Open Dental does not retroactively change completed procedure fees with a fee schedule or plan change.

It's designed that way. Your plan type is PPO Percentage, which bills your full fee and calculates writeoffs in your claims. If you change your plan type to Category Percentage, Open Dental will replace your full fee with the assigned fee schedule in the plan: http://opendental.com/manual/planppo.ht...

You probably have your insurance plan set to Category Percentage instead of PPO Percentage.
Go ahead and change the plan type, and then update fees in the Treatment Plan Module before completing the work. If you complete work with the incorrect fee, you will have to manually edit it at that point.
