Problems with Obamacare Plans - How to Enter into System

Hello all, I did a search through the forums about this topic, but I was unable to find any current posts on this matter. We're a pediatric dentist office, and we're also a fee for service practice that deals directly with insurance. We're now about 3 months into Year Two of these new Affordable Car...

Re: Creating a Claim with Bilateral Space Maintainers

Hello and thanks for that insight. I did as you said, and changed it to a tooth range, however this is only for permanent teeth. We have to use baby teeth when submitting the space maintainer. I tried putting notes into the remarks for unusual services box on the claim form. Unfortunately, most insu...

I used to like the planned appointments feature with Dentrix, but...

14 Month Benefit Period for New Insurance Plans

Good Afternoon, and Happy President's day. I was writing to see if anyone has found one of these new plans in their office. I have an employer plan with Metlife that arrived in my office today. I've never heard of this in my life, but Metlife states the member has a 14 month benefit period. I don't ...

Pediatric Recall Questions

Hello all, I am the office manager at a new pediatric dental office, and a new Open Dental user. We offer complementary 2 year check-ups to our youngest patients, and I've been noticing a complexity problem when trying to generate recall reports. We have lots of different scenarios for these 2-year-...
